About Lo-fi & trip-hop
Lo-fi hip-hop radio, live and free: Champloo plays Nujabes, fat jon, Force Of Nature and TSUTCHIE late into the night, mixed without a break. Trinity is its darker cousin in the afternoon — Massive Attack, Sneaker Pimps, Thievery Corporation — on Wa3's Random channel.
Champloo is named after Samurai Champloo, the 2004 anime whose soundtrack Nujabes, Fat Jon, Force of Nature and Tsutchie made between them — the records that taught a generation what jazz samples, soft drums and a slow swing could do. Nujabes's own albums, Uyama Hiroto's saxophone and keys, and Shing02's verses on the Luv (sic) series are the spine of the show.
Trinity goes back to the nineties and the slower, darker side of the beat: Bristol trip-hop — Massive Attack's Unfinished Sympathy, and Teardrop with Elizabeth Fraser — and the records around it, DJ Shadow, Sneaker Pimps, Thievery Corporation, Air. Both shows are made for studying, reading, working or driving at night.

Questions
- Is Wa3 a 24/7 lo-fi radio?
- Not all day: Wa3 is a full station with several channels. Lo-fi plays on Champloo late at night and trip-hop on Trinity in the afternoon (Paris time) — each show's page has the hours. The rest of the time the Random channel moves on to other genres.
- What is lo-fi hip-hop?
- Slow, warm instrumental hip-hop built from jazz and soul samples, with the hiss and softness left in on purpose. Its best-known roots are Nujabes and the Samurai Champloo soundtrack (2004) — the music Wa3's Champloo is built on.
- Can I listen to Nujabes radio online?
- Yes: Nujabes is one of the most played artists on Champloo, with fat jon, Force Of Nature and Uyama Hiroto — free, no account, in any browser.
- Which Wa3 shows play Lo-fi & trip-hop?
- Trinity, Champloo — see each show's page for its days and times (Paris).
- How do I listen to Lo-fi & trip-hop?
- Press “Listen” on this page: it opens wa3.live on the Random channel, in any browser on phone or computer — free, no account. Wa3 also streams as plain MP3 for radio apps.
