Bayt al-Ḥikmah

Bayt al-Ḥikmah — the House of Wisdom — is the contemplative hour: Djivan Gasparyan's duduk, Omar Faruk Tekbilek and Brian Keane, Armand Amar, Levon Minassian, Arto Tunçboyacıyan, Sufi Lounge — ney, duduk and slow percussion from Anatolia to Persia. Six hours a week on Random, before dawn and early morning.

Random is one of the channels of Wa3, the eclectic one — classic rock, funk and disco, jazz, bossa nova, film scores and world music, anything that doesn't fit the other two. Every channel is a separate round-the-clock stream with its own line-up: switch between them in the player.

To listen, open the player and press play — no app, no account, free. Bayt al-Ḥikmah is on at the times below; outside them the channel keeps streaming its other shows, and you can tune in from any player with the MP3 stream.
